Sometimes your team needs to solve problems, work through thorny issues, establish goals and priorities, and no one in your own team can be reasonably excluded from the discussion. That is a fantastic opportunity to bring in a facilitator. As an independent, skilled group worker, your HIL facilitator will enable your team to realise the outcomes sought by structuring the discussion, intervening when necessary, and remaining neutral throughout. The goal of the facilitator is to enable an easy, efficient, and effective group's decision-making process.
